We have an amazing group of talented artisans in the Marathon Yacht Club: potters, jewelry makers, knitters, bakers and gardeners, just to name a few. We would love to see what you do and to offer your creations to others, as holiday gifts for family, friends or even yourself. So here is what we are planning.
On Wednesday, December 6, the MYC Auxiliary will sponsor a holiday craft fair in the Club. We are asking each of our creative crafters to donate one or more pieces of your handmade work to be sold at the craft fair. Everything is welcome. Already we have a potter who will be making a few of her whimsical pots, a gardener who has offered to donate some of the orchids she raises, and a baker who is offering candies, cookies and other desserts. One member is crocheting a poncho and another is making a set of nautical coasters, comical coffee cup cozies, and small Christmas ornaments. It doesn’t have to be a large, expensive item. Anything you think would brighten someone else’s holidays is welcome.
So please think about your craft and make something to share with us. Once you have decided what you want to donate, send us a picture and we will post it here to give other crafters some inspiration.
